The
Vulcan Building, Mitcham
This was a factory unit, incorporating offices,
kitchen, dining area and toilets for Man Roland (formerly
Pershke Price Service Organisation). The scheme included
piled foundations and remediation of contaminated
ground. The power-floated ground slab consisting
of 250 cu m of read-mixed concrete was poured in
one day using laser controlled machinery.
